What to Expect at a MINI GEMZ CLASS

Mini Gemz is our beautiful introduction to dance for children aged 2–3 years, designed to gently guide your little one into the studio environment with the comfort of their favourite grown-up by their side.

This 30-minute class blends ballet, jazz, and basic dance foundations in a fun, nurturing, and structured setting. Dancers begin developing coordination, musicality, balance, and listening skills through imaginative movement, simple technique exercises, and playful activities.

The grown-up attends the class with their child and is involved throughout the class. Mini Gemz is designed to be a transitional class towards our "Little" classes.
This class is specifically designed for students and grown-ups who need a slower separation process, and once the child feels comfortable (usually 1 term), they move into the "Little" class of their choice.

What is the difference between Mini's & Little's?

Mini Gemz
Ages 2–3 | Grown Up & Me
Class Duration: 30min

- A grown-up joins the class
- Focus on comfort, confidence, and bonding
- Introduction and transitional class to 'Littles'
- Gentle structure with lots of reassurance

Little Gemz
Ages 2–5 | Independent Class
Class Duration: 45min

- Students attend class on their own
- More structured learning environment
- Learn a combination of styles and skills. Including: Jazz, Tap, Ballet foundations, Singing etc
- Preparation for future junior-level classes

Little Ballet
Ages 2-5 | Independent Class
Class Duration: 30min

- Students attend class on their own
- More structured learning environment
- Focus on teamwork, coordination, & independence
- Preparation for future junior-level
- Slower-paced and calm class

Little Cirque
Ages 4–5 | Independent Class
Class Duration: 45min

- Students attend class on their own
- More structured learning environment
- Learn basic Silk, Juggling and Acro skills.
- Preparation for future junior-level classes
